Head of Travel Vertical Search and Sales Associate

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 11 years of industry experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development or consulting.
  • Experience in people management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the online travel industry, hotel metasearch products, and the digital advertising landscape in APAC.
  • Ability to succeed in a fluid, "rotational" environment, managing multiple shifting priorities and stakeholders across different markets.
  • Excellent influencing, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to navigate complex internal organizational structures.
  • Interest in emerging ad platforms and to pioneer new business models within a verticalized search context.

As the Head of Travel Vertical Search & SEAS Sales Associates, you will set the direction for how we grow the Travel Ads business across APAC while ensuring operational excellence in our coverage model.

In this role, you will lead the Travel Vertical Search team in shaping how the world’s biggest travel advertisers embrace emerging platforms like Hotel Ads. Simultaneously, you will oversee the SEAS Sales Associate Program, managing the deployment of associates to assist for LCS teams across the region.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the APAC strategy for Travel Ads. Identify growth levers across the partner ecosystem and translate market dynamics into localized product asks.
  • Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary team of Analytical Leads, Account Managers, and Sales Associates. Partner with cross-functional teams to represent the Travel roadmap, ensure consistency in high-caliber service across the full portfolio of Google advertising products.
  • Advocate the use of reporting tools and dashboards. Guide the team in synthesizing insights from complex datasets to drive strategic recommendations for clients.
  • Build relationships with customers, industry partners, and internal stakeholders. Be the primary advocate for Travel Ads and the Sales Associate program internally and externally.
  • Oversee the rotational element of the Sales Associate Program. Manage capacity planning, deployment logistics for long-term leaves, and the "graduation" process of associates into market-specific roles.
