Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers.
  • Experience in either system design or reading code (e.g., Java, C++, Python).
  • Experience working with embedded systems or Android.
  • Ability to communicate in English, Japanese, and Chinese fluently in order to interact with stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing projects and working with analytics, software coding, or customer-side web technologies.
  • 5 years of experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Experience in automotive engineering or consumer electronics or embedded space.

About the job

As a Technical Solutions Consultant, you will be responsible for the technical relationship of our largest advertising clients and/or product partners. You will lead cross-functional teams in Engineering, Sales and Product Management to leverage emerging technologies for our external clients/partners. From concept design and testing to data analysis and support, you will oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's online advertising platforms and/or product partnerships.

You will be able to balance business and partner needs with technical constraints, develop innovative solutions and act as a partner and consultant to those you are working with. You will also be able to build tools and automate products, oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's partnerships, as well as develop product strategy and prioritize projects and resources.

The Android Auto Partner Engineering team at Google works closely with a varied set of partners across the globe on all aspects including chipsets, devices and automakers. The team works in a fast-paced technology driven environment to align the strategic goals of Google and it’s partners with the goal of making Android the platform of choice across multiple consumer and enterprise domains.

In this role, you will work in simplifying and streamlining processes, support code and architecture reviews from internal and external stakeholders. You will gather and analyze data that help Google and its partners to make informed decisions. You will also define the scope of technical projects and oversee the execution.

Responsibilities

  • Perform implementation reviews, advocate new product features, and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of technical issues.
  • Improve product feature offerings by providing partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams including Product Management and Core Engineering.
  • Undertake the technical aspects of a partner’s integration (both new and ongoing) by providing necessary documentation and technical guidance.
  • Identify, drive, and optimize technical and business process flows for existing and new opportunities by leveraging Google technologies.
