Strategic Partnership Manager, YouTube

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in business development, partnerships, consulting, finance, strategy or business/product operations.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Japanese fluently to converse with Japanese clients.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with broadcasting networks, creators, and media service platforms.
  • Experience in project management, including ability to work on multiple time-sensitive projects.
  • Understanding of the online business as well as the media industry.
  • Negotiation and analytical skills regarding contractual, technical, and financial issues.
  • Strategic thinking skills.

This role sits in the Scaled Partnership team. We work as a team to provide the creators the best experience in a scaled manner, while each Strategic Partner Manager is assigned to a portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Manage creators and companies.
  • Help partners achieve their goals by providing consultative support. This covers various topics: content strategy, branding and biz skills, business generation, YouTube product features, etc. 
  • Be able to strategize your communication with partners, engaging them effectively. Leverage different forms of communication for scaled workshops to maximize the impact.
  • Pitch and support adoption of product features that are YouTube organization's priority, and serve towards partner's channel growth. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Partner support, Engineering, Marketing, Product, PR, etc.
