Director, Product Management, Google Distributed Cloud Operations

Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experience in product management, with a focus on cloud operations, DevOps, or related areas.
- Experience with cloud technologies, infrastructure management, NOC/SOC and DevOps principles.
Preferred qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as a people manager.
- Experience building AI/ML systems and large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies, with cloud cost optimization and financial modeling, and familiarity with ITIL or other service management frameworks.
- Proven track record of defining and launching successful cloud-based products, and experience leading and mentoring a product management team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear product requirements.
- Excellent communication, people, and presentation skills.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $253,000-$363,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Lead a team of high performing Product Managers. Define and execute “Operations as a Product” for GDC.
- Accelerate the business by partnering with infrastructure operators to resell, service, and operate GDC. Ensure we have the processes and tools to deliver, or enable our operating partners to meet or exceed customer expectations for service SLO/SLAs.
- Use AI to improve customer TCO and enable healthy margins for Google at competitive market pricing.
- Partner with the hardware supply chain organization and own software deployment and system validation to ensure repeatable, reliable system delivery to accelerate time to business.
- Enable an indirect channel model with third-party operators to allow GDC to scale Go-To-Market and operations in the market.
