Technical Program Manager, Google Public Sector

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in program management.
  • 7 years of experience in the Intelligence Community.
  • Experience in a consulting or leadership capacity supporting U.S. Federal Government contracts within the Intelligence Community as a PM or Deputy PM.
  • Active TS/SCI US Government security clearance with polygraph.


Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field.
  • Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • 10 years of experience managing U.S. Federal Government IDIQ contracts.
  • 5 years of experience migrating on premise software workloads to cloud solutions.
  • 5 years of experience in cloud computing platforms.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage various Engineering-specific programs and teams.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You will work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You are equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

This position requires that the candidate selected be eligible to obtain, and/or currently possess and maintain an active US Government Top Secret with polygraph security clearance.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $227,000-$320,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic, technical, and program management of large, multi-functional Google Cloud projects with strategic customers/task orders. 
  • Manage risks, issues, and actions for customers, and track them regularly to meet the expected outcomes and timelines.
  • Manage and lead efforts to implement future architectures.
  • Manage contractual deliverables and partner responsibilities.
  • Deliver executive-level briefings to customer and Google Public Sector leadership.
