Field Sales Representative, Google Cloud Public Sector, SLED

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience promoting cloud computing technologies to organizations across geographies and functions.
  • Experience with cloud sales or selling to State, Local, and Education customers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in sales to the State of Illinois.
  • Experience cultivating C-level relationships and influencing executives.
  • Experience growing an existing customer base and acquiring new customers at scale, to increase spend and accelerate business growth.
  • Experience working with, and leading, cross-functional teams and partners in implementations and negotiations.
  • Experience working with Customer Engineers and customers' technical leads to inventory software estate, define migration plans, and build migration business cases.

As a Field Sales Representative covering the Public Sector, you will be working on State, Local, and Education (SLED) accounts. You will leverage existing relationships with C-level executives, develop relationships, and act as a trusted business partner to understand unique company challenges and goals. In this role, you will promote products to make organizations more productive, collaborative, and mobile.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $110,000-$164,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Build executive relationships with public sector customers. Influence and serve as a business partner.
  • Facilitate and manage the entire business cycle, often presenting to C-level executives in public sector customers.
  • Lead account strategy in generating and developing business growth opportunities, collaborate with Customer Engineers and Google Partners in order to optimize business results in territory and open up opportunities with public sector customers.
  • Understand each customer’s technology footprint, growth plans and business drivers, technology strategy, and competitive landscape.
  • Drive business development, forecast accurately and achieve goals by leading customers through the entire business cycle.
