Industry Manager (Fixed Term Contract, Part Time)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of industry experience in advertising, consultative sales, or business development, or 3 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Ability to communicate in English and German fluently to engage with clients in the region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in online sales, business-development or digital advertising.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and work in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling as a customer engagement strategy.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in one of the fastest paced areas of marketing and to be on the leading edge of innovation. As an Industry Manager, you will drive growth and sales strategy. As a team you will work together with the Account Manager and Analytical Consultant to brainstorm, develop and refine compelling, customized growth plans for our customers and delivering them with high quality. You will play a critical role identifying the biggest strategic opportunities for Google and will be responsible for the success of multiple high impact internal and external initiatives.

This is a fixed term contract, part time role from January 2026 to May 2027.

Google's Large Customer Sales (LCS) teams are strategic partners and industry thought leaders to the world's leading brands and agencies. We continuously challenge how customers think about their business and how Google can support growth. We focus on helping these players navigate profound industry shifts and drive outsized business performance by competitively selling Google's full suite of advertising solutions across Search, YouTube, Measurement, and more. As a member of our LCS team, you'll have the unique opportunity to sell at the forefront of technology, collaborating with executives, influencing market-shaping strategies, and delivering tangible results that significantly impact major global businesses and drive the growth of Google.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a leading expert on the client's business, identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to drive mutual growth through strategic, data-driven account plans.
  • Develop and deliver C-level presentations and strategic business reviews that translate complex data into actionable, high-impact recommendations.
  • Analyze data trends and client performance, develop solid strategic client account plans, and prepare and conduct strategic recommendations that incorporate one or multi Google products.
  • Collaborate and consult with major customers with the goal of extending relationships and increasing our client and agency base. Work with Google product expert teams to develop and deliver innovative advertising solutions while keeping in mind impact on client performance.
  • Work cross-functionally within Google and consult on projects to drive client success. Work closely with members of the Large Customer Sales team to ensure successful implementation of search, video, display.
