About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. We are an upbeat, creative, team-oriented group of engineers committed to building and operating powerful data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement new processes, and facilitate scaling for program teams. Contribute to improving Google's ability to deliver capacity on-time.
  • Act as a change advocate, initiating and leading multiple organizations through necessary pivots to address evolving business trends and priorities.
  • Embrace technical complexity and display technical judgment, partnering with product and engineering teams.
  • Define project/program success criteria, establish measurable milestones, track deliverables, and deliver incremental customer value. Measure, analyze, and optimize to improve project velocity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Foster alignment among stakeholders, communicating widely and transparently, and provide regular updates and checkpoints (e.g., engineering reviews) to keep stakeholders informed of progress.
