Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in Java or Python.
- Experience developing and maintaining integrations with third-party platforms.
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and related technologies.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
- Familiarity with Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) business domains.
- Ability to take initiative, with a solution-oriented mindset and a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences.

As an Application Engineer, you will focus on contributing to the integration and maintenance of third-party platforms and ensuring their effective operation within the company's operational framework. You will utilize an understanding of application development and integration and technical skills, and will exhibit a collaborative approach when working with internal teams and external vendors.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate within a team setting with engineers and business process owners to contribute to the design, development, and deployment of internal applications in support of operational areas (i.e., technology lifecycle, collaboration, spaces, service delivery management, and data and business intelligence).
- Integrate third-party products into internal systems and provide support or upgrades for the implemented systems.
- Identify and fix problems within defined requirements. Recommend creative solutions using appropriate tools and methods.
- Assist development of business applications, tools, and automation that enhance the reliability of Google's applications and systems. Ensure controls compliance. Help identify processes and solutions to ensure compliance with controls.
- Collaborate with analysts and business process owners to translate business needs into high-level technical specifications, under the guidance of executive colleagues. Write clear, modular, well-structured, and self-sustaining code, while checking for errors at boundary conditions.
