Strategic Sourcing Manager, ASIC, Custom Silicon

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, business administration, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a focus on semiconductors.
  • 5 years of experience interfacing with and establishing relationships with executive management for suppliers and customers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, or a related engineering field.
  • Experience setting up manufacturing assembly processes, driving product launches and assembly process optimization within manufacturing operations.
  • Experience in technical leadership, project management, and executive communication.
  • Knowledge of the custom silicon landscape, including silicon processes, packaging technologies, IP, manufacturing, and software/application layers.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and quality standards.

As a Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for ASICs (Application-Specific Integrated Circuits) spanning ML, networking, and CPU products. You will drive next-generation technologies, ensuring a stable supply of high-quality components at exceptional business terms, and supporting the company's product development and manufacturing goals.

In this role, you will define and drive the sourcing strategy for our custom silicon products. You will possess deep technical expertise, sharp business acumen, and the ability to build robust supplier relationships, negotiate complex contracts, and anticipate market trends to ensure a stable supply of high-complexity ASICs.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $144,000-$209,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive global sourcing strategies for custom silicon, aligning with overall business objectives.
  • Identify and qualify potential suppliers by conducting thorough due diligence and risk assessments.
  • Negotiate agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Drive the end-to-end ASIC lifecycle, providing input on architecture definition, business negotiations/awards, execution, NPI (New Product Introduction)/production ramp, and EOL (End of Life).
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration and open communication.
