Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with data analysis and SQL/MySQL.
  • 9 years of experience in either system design or in one programming language (Java, C++, Python, etc.).
  • 9 years of experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or Applied Science, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience delivering data products at large enterprises with complex requirements.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity in a fluid environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and investigate, breaking down complex issues into manageable components.
  • Excellent business and technical communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

About the job

In this role, you will be part of a community of analytics professionals who work on high impact projects ranging from developing critical data pipelines that help run the business, build tools to analyze the content partnerships and creator ecosystem which guide business leadership on optimizing the effectiveness and efficiency of our partner facing business teams. You will develop solutions for enabling Natural Language Search (NLS) at scale for business users that may be ambiguous or lacking clear precedent. Anticipate upcoming opportunities (e.g., changing business needs, industry evolution) and proactively develop solutions. Generate and execute ideas for new project initiatives that make clear, wide, and measurable impact

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $171,000-$257,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Go-to-market products supporting the YouTube Business teams.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in conversational analytics, with a proven track record of technical expertise and understanding of internal Google products/systems.
  • Utilize broad and deep, core technical role-related knowledge, relevant Google-wide technologies and processes, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Conduct requirements gathering and project scoping sessions with subject matter experts, business users, and executive stakeholders to discover and define business data needs.
  • Design, build, and optimize the data architecture and extract, transform, and load (ETL) pipelines to make them accessible for Business Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and business users to enable data-driven decision-making.
