About the job

As the Head of Global Business Organization (GBO) Finance overseeing Canada and Latin America (CALA) Large Customer Sales (LCS), you will partner with these markets’ leadership to steer a high-growth, multi-billion dollar business. You will manage a team and act as the strategic architect, translating complex performance tracking and scenario planning into actionable insights. You will have the opportunity to cultivate seamless relationships across Finance, Go-To-Market, and LCS leadership, influencing the trajectory of one of Google’s most dynamic commercial regions.

In this role, you will leverage the full investigative capability of the GBO Finance team to drive business strategy. You will be balancing high-level "big picture" problem solving with an uncompromising eye for detail. By integrating AI into your workflow, you will move beyond standard process work to unlock hidden value, creating the capacity for the original thinking and deep analysis that our executives rely on.

The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team and act as a strategic advisor to executive stakeholders; navigating and clarifying complex business challenges. Through data-driven insights, you will challenge and guide cross-functional leadership teams.
  • Lead Business Delivery Governance and the end-to-end Annual Planning cycle. Develop strategic analyses to shape business performance and provide expert advice on opportunities and risks to the Leadership team for the short and long term.
  • Lead weekly, quarterly, and bi-annual business reviews in partnership with the wider financial and regional teams. Identify growth levers and ensure operational excellence is maintained.
  • Leverage the power of AI to transform Financial Analyses and Operations; finding ways to use emerging technology to enhance the depth of your insights and drive impact.
