Product Manager II, AI Solutions, Android, Extended Reality

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc.).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in product management for AI/ML platforms, developer tools, or cloud computing services.
  • Experience with large language models (LLMs), generative AI, computer vision, or perception systems.
  • Understanding of the Android developer ecosystem, Augmented Reality (AR)/Virtual Reality (VR) technologies, or 3D content creation pipelines.
  • Ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects with numerous stakeholders across different teams and organizations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence without authority and build consensus among technical and non-technical teams.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

Google's XR team is at the forefront of the next major leap – the convergence of AI and XR. This is more than just new devices – it's about reimagining how we interact with the world around us. We're building a future where lightweight XR devices pair with helpful AI to augment human intelligence, offering personalized, conversational, and contextually aware experiences.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Own the goal, strategy, and roadmap for the suite of AI-powered tools and services for extended reality (XR) developers, including generative AI solutions, developer assistants, and AI-driven services.
  • Drive the integration of Gemini as an intelligent agent in XR. You will lead the product definition for our third-party XR developer platform and tools, partnering closely with Gemini engineering teams, first-party application teams, and key early access program (E0AP developers to ensure a seamless and powerful integration for third-party applications.
  • Lead cross-functional teams consisting of engineering, UX, developer relations, and marketing to define, build, and launch AI developer products.
  • Partner with the Android Studio and Vertex AI teams to define and deliver AI-powered developer assistants (e.g., Studio Bot for XR) that meaningfully improve developer productivity, from code generation and debugging to asset creation and optimization.
