Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing or process or quality engineering.
  • Experience working with display modules and their manufacturing/assembly processes.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently to support client relationship management in this region .

Preferred qualifications:

  • 7 years of experience in process/manufacturing/quality engineering roles.
  • Excellent process engineering skills to develop and scale complex manufacturing and test processes.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin fluently to support client relationship management in this region .

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for cover glass, coatings and touch technology feasibility studies through theoretical simulation and practical engineering methods, and for design and development of technically complex manufacturing processes to enable new products designs and functional requirements.
  • Provide technical direction to suppliers to establish and validate (utilizing statistical tools) process capability during the NPI phase for consistently delivering quality products in mass production.
  • Drive project technical and operational issues wrt material, process, fixtures, equipment etc., during NPI phase to enable the delivery of a mature product and manufacturing process into mass production. 
  • Engage in development activities work with cross-functional product teams to identify and resolve technical issues, early detection and highlighting quality risks to core teams.
  • Publish reports on supplier performance based on production line statistics in the factory, field and plans on addressing any issues.
