Advance Infrastructure Business Development Lead

  • 8 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience in financial modeling for infrastructure investments and structuring utility agreements.
  • Experience in the development, scoping, and management of utility energy or infrastructure projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in technical infrastructure strategy, development, or operations.
  • Experience leading public-facing initiatives/engagements on behalf of multi-national, organization.
  • Experience working with or an understanding of data center or utility water and power infrastructure, particularly cooling systems and their energy/water demands.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. The Global Sustainability team enables Google to build a more sustainable future for everyone by driving strategy and solutions. We drive the development and implementation of Google’s global sustainability strategy to further empower action, ensure alignment and prioritization, identify leadership opportunities, and mitigate risks. We drive sustainability strategy and programs on carbon, circular economy, water, product integration, reporting, and employee engagement, while serving as a sustainability leadership advocate internally and externally.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead the scoping, development, and implementation of advanced utility business models, including tariff structures, site-specific commercial agreements, and infrastructure investments across water, power, advance water treatment, and heat ruse infrastructure solutions.
  • Conduct comprehensive techno-commercial studies for proposed utility projects to assess economic and technical feasibility, financial risk, and total cost of ownership (TCO).
  • Lead the identification and establishment of relationships and agreements with utility providers and third-party developers, managing the discussion of technical and commercial terms.
  • Develop and own detailed financial models for energy infrastructure projects, incorporating capital expenditure, operating costs, and utility rate structures to guide investment decisions.
  • Coordinate with internal engineering, design, construction, and operations teams, as well as external consultants, to ensure business deals are technically viable and implementable at new and existing data center locations.
