Data Analyst Prod Operations, Payments Platform

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in management consulting, product management and strategy, or analytics in a technology company.
  • Experience working with and analyzing data.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as; Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with the use of data-warehouse tables and operational data and ability to write/modify SQL queries of high-complexity.
  • Experience in product analytics in payments domain, towards action and detail-oriented and ability to work in an unstructured environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analysis skills, combined with impeccable business decision-making, leadership skills, and ability to communicate with a executive management team.
  • Excellent partnership and collaboration skills with product and cross-functions.

Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google’s functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.

Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands.

In this role, you will help shape analytics for Payments Platform by helping our leaders make tactical decisions. You will coordinate across functions to dissect business, product, and operational metrics. You will help leverage data, conduct analyses and make final business recommendations, collaborating with Product teams to help keep Google safe. You will handle multiple projects at a time, focusing on the details and finding creative ways to take on big picture issues.

Responsibilities

  • Work with large, complex internal data sets, solve difficult, non-routine analysis issues, applying advanced problem-solving methods as needed.
  • Conduct end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering and requirements specification, processing, analysis, ongoing deliverables and presentations.
  • Define metrics and develop reports, iteratively build and prototype dashboards to provide insights at scale.
  • Communicate findings, recommendations, and metrics updates to both technical and non technical internal stakeholders. Drive visibility into business performance, synthesize and present findings at regular reviews.
  • Partner with executive stakeholders in Product Management, Engineering and Operation teams to drive product impact and ensure infrastructure supports key analyses.
