Program Manager, Operations Performance, Quality and Programs

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, Computer/Data Science, Business Analytics, process or similar, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • 3 years of experience in operations, with a focus on data analytics, process developing and testing, performance quality and operational excellence.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing digital transformation and IT projects.
  • Ability to work on their own and as part of a team.
  • Ability to think creatively, identifying opportunities to measure, and improve operational outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

In this role, you will build, operate and promote global infrastructure to support Google Global Networking growth and open networking objectives. You will help define, design and deploy resources towards a cohesive and coordinated plan embedded within the Google Global Networking and wider Google Cloud division. You will bring significant new resources into Google, stimulate slick, simplistic governance and drive a talent development program to ensure adequate succession planning and career development in this unique and specific part of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement data and performance quality initiatives to improve network operations. Deliver digitization initiatives to deliver operational innovations and overall effectiveness.
  • Deliver quality governance frameworks, and implementation of an operational readiness testing program for new systems introduction and network operationalisation.
  • Test network reliability, processes robustness and complete retrospective analysis and improvement.
  • Gather and collate all aspects of necessary data and analytics to drive operational effectiveness in operational systems.
  • Use data analytics, identify, create and establish measures of operational excellence/quality, dashboard views across domains, cross-correlation of inputs to drive operational excellence evident within the operate OKRs.
