Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
- 7 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 5 years with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or CA with 10 years of work experience in a financial reporting/business finance role.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP and knowledge of accounting principles.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional, fluid environment and to lead and drive operational initiatives.
- Ability to handle a varied workload, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and f attention to detail and a commitment to continuous process improvement.
- Ability to drive for results, leadership and negotiating skills.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.
Responsibilities
- Be accountable for accuracy, timeliness, effectiveness, and efficiency of all processes related to controllership for Devices and Services Product Area (DSPA) in India.
- Partner with business teams on financial operations and ensure new product and launches adhere to finance requirements.
- Collaborate with global Business Finance and Controllership teams to ensure consistency and efficiencies, including contributing to system and process transformation initiatives with central functions.
- Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual close presentations and maintain an internal control environment, including ensuring accuracy of financial accounts. Support controllership teams on compliances including SOX requirements.
- Recognize potential areas of risk and develop risk management solutions. Ensure compliance with Indian accounting standards, regulatory requirements and tax regulations, including management of the external audit and tax compliance for the respective Google entity in India.
