Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cyber-security, Information Systems, Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in security operations, specifically Incident Response (IR), Threat Hunting and Intelligence, Security Monitoring and Log Analysis, and Risk Analysis and Assessments.
  • Experience leading and delivering cross-functional, security projects or investigations from start to finish.
  • Experience presenting technical findings and security risks to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of cyber threat intelligence analysis experience.
  • Experience generating actionable threat intel reports and communication.
  • Experience in working with remediation teams and relaying communications between technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to run scripts in the course of their day-to-day activities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

About the job

As a member of the Google Reporting and Strategic Insights team in the Google Threat Intelligence Group (GTIG), you will work closely across the Analysis Missions to produce finished analysis tailored to internal Google teams and stakeholders. You will turn technical analysis into narrative that drives fixes and eliminates entire classes of attacks on Google products and our users. You will have a strong understanding of the threat landscape and curiosity that allows you to create additional investigative value over technical data. You will combine a strong foundation in intelligence analysis with an ability to grow in ambiguity and partner well across a matrixed organization.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $167,000-$247,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Produce actionable intelligence reports for Google defenders and counter abuse teams based on Google Threat Intelligence Groups (GTIG's) analysis for Google defenders.
  • Report on threats to enable fixes on GTIG-identified security vulnerabilities that affect Google products, our users, and customers.
  • Conduct research on industry aiming trends including geopolitical implications of GTIG research and perform analyses on areas of high interest to partner teams.
  • Coordinate incoming requests from Cloud, Trust and Safety and other Product Areas and Scoping Deliverables.
  • Collect and synthesize data from a variety of sources and coordinate and write public blog posts and white papers.
