Strategic Partnerships Development Manager, Payments

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree.
  • 7 years of experience as a Partnership Manager or in a similar role.
  • Experience developing and managing partnerships.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, to drive programs and products.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fluid environment.

About the job

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you will interact with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

As a Partnership Manager you will accelerate the adoption of Tap and Pay and solidify Google's leadership in this space. You will play an important role in developing and executing partnership strategies, building and nurturing relationships with key partners, negotiating agreements, and collaborating on joint initiatives, with key players in the ecosystem, including issuers, networks, merchants, OEMs, and payment aggregators.

You will be ownership driven, coupled with direction and operational execution, and looking to take responsibilities beyond their years of experience. In addition to consumer payment technologies, the Payments team also powers the money movement between Google and its consumers and businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy and partnerships with merchants, OEMs, Networks to grow the business and product.
  • Drive feature launches and growth by managing partner relationship including identification of partners, negotiation, billing/invoicing, integration, launch and result tracking.
  • Work with partners to develop and execute joint marketing campaigns, product launches, and other initiatives that drive mutual success.
  • Observe the needs of the market and share insights with product and marketing teams to help create and deliver innovative products and experience.
  • Work with cross functional teams including but Product, Engineering, Marketing, Legal, and Finance to ensure effective collaboration and alignment towards execution.
