Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or management consulting, in the advertisement, cable, satellite, telecommunications, or related technology industries.
- Experience managing agreements or partnerships.
- Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA degree
- Deep understanding of the CTV and payTV industry, key platforms and trends (e.g., CTV/OTT distribution, payTV unbundling, rebundling of streaming services) and online advertising ecosystem (e.g., ad serving, ad exchanges, programmatic advertising).
- Demonstrated analytical ability, including the ability to analyze complex business opportunities across multiple product areas.
- Ability to negotiate contracts, interpret legal documents, and work with attorneys to complete agreements.
- Demonstrated passion for the connected living room.
- Comfortable operating in a rapidly changing and largely undefined space.
About the job
As Strategic Partner Lead, Video Distributor Partnerships, you will manage ad infrastructure and programmatic ad inventory partnerships with strategic video partners to foster development of the CTV ecosystem, while also discovering areas for joint innovation and deeper partnership. You both lead and work in collaboration with account teams on the strategic direction for partner accounts, drive growth opportunities, and align internal stakeholders to execute on account priorities. You will build long-lasting relationships with senior executives and operational leads at our top MVPD, vMVPD, telecommunications partners while staying close to emerging trends in the payTV and streaming industry to help shape the strategy of our team. You will renew existing partnerships and ensure partner success to drive cross-Google deals and upscale potential opportunities.
The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $103,000-$152,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of a partner's business, priorities, and challenges. Work with Google leaders on overall video distributor and partner strategies.
- Deepen relationships and build business cases with leading video distributor partners in the CTV ecosystem. Develop renewal and product upsell strategy, negotiate term sheets, manage internal approvals processes, contract negotiations and compliance processes.
- Create and drive executive partner engagement strategy to develop deep and trusted relationships with executives internally and externally.
- Understand the full scope of partner business growth and ad serving including inventory trends, direct and indirect channel priorities, competitors used and how ad growth fits into larger business strategy.
- Collaborate with technical and business growth specialist teams to manage and grow revenue, product adoption, and relationships with CTV distributor partners.
