Industrial Designer, On-Site Support

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of design experience in product design.
  • Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).
  • Ability to travel upto 40% of the time to collaborate with colleagues in different zones as required.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in manufacturing processes and industrial design execution.
  • Experience in CMF development and implementation.
  • Ability to assess cosmetic quality across a variety of materials and finishes.
  • Ability to communicate quality assessment to suppliers and develop plans for improvements.
  • Ability to collaborate with US-based design teams across time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct onsite supplier visits and maintain direct communication to ensure manufacturing outputs align with rigorous industrial design standards.
  • Evaluate parts and fully assembled devices throughout the development cycle, focusing on cosmetic quality, fit and finish, and "step and gap" precision; work with suppliers to achieve quality standards.
  • Partner with Color, Material, and Finishing (CMF), material science, engineering, and supply chain teams to bridge the gap between design intent and mass production.
  • Liaise closely with the US-based Pixel ID team to ensure global design consistency and execution.
  • Provide technical and design oversight to translate conceptual industrial design into market-ready future products.
