Cloud Finance Optimization Business Analyst

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in management consulting, or project management from a public accounting firm or multi-national company.
  • Experience supporting or leading cross-functional projects and identifying process improvements.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Lean Six Sigma Qualification (Yellow, Green or Black Belt).
  • 5 years of experience in business analysis, financial analysis, or process improvement, in a public company.
  • Experience in spreadsheet software (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) and financial data.
  • Experience in data visualization tools such as Looker, Power BI, or Tableau (pivot tables, charts).
  • Experience in creating detailed process/systems/data flow maps using tools or process mapping software.
  • Ability to understand and document complex financial and operational workflows.

While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges.

In this role, we are looking for someone to map Cloud’s complex business process and system architecture to facilitate Finance-led transformational change. our role is to understand how Finance and others currently operate within Cloud, and see the bigger picture to standardize models and activities, reduce process variations, improve reporting, and automate manual work. You will design, build and evaluate procedures that support the day to day running of the Cloud business.The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $105,000-$154,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Cloud business functions to understand manual and automated transaction flows. Develop and maintain detailed process maps of Cloud Lead to Report, using tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or similar.
  • Identify complexities, variations and control gaps in current processes. Design, quantify and recommend improvements in business processes to enhance efficiency, reduce complexity, increase standardization, and better manage risk.
  • Provide input into Finance requirements and user journeys for systems improvement work based on current and desired process flows.
  • Support internal and external testing of in-scope processes and controls to ensure adherence to Alphabet standards and timely remediation of observations.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for management, summarizing findings from process improvement activities and data analyses.
