Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 15 years of experience working in partnerships or tech
- Management and team leadership experience
Preferred qualifications:
- PhD or other post-graduate qualification in AI research, science, technology or related domains
- Experience with data deal and technical competence in shaping data deals for AI models
- Ability to build strong and effective relationships, internally and externally, that result in new approaches or improved results.
- Ability to operate in a complex and matrixed environment, and a track record of delivering multiple major strategic initiatives simultaneously
- Track record of success in working with researchers, scientists, and engineers
- Demonstrated record of influencing and managing stakeholders

The Global Partnerships’ Knowledge & Information Partnerships team is responsible for leading partnerships that build, distribute, and enable Google’s core products used by users every day.
This team partners closely with Product, Engineering, and Research leadership to deeply understand and influence Google’s long-term partnership strategy that will allow our products and initiatives to thrive across the globe.
As the Director you will lead a partnership team responsible for working with a broad set of partners to power Google DeepMind foundational models and to enable a broad range of research initiatives. This will require executing on existing strategies across regions, as well as defining our future partnerships strategy. You will collaborate effectively with a broad set of researchers, product managers, engineers, lawyers, and other internal stakeholders.

We build and distribute products through partnerships across a multitude of product areas, including Ads, Search & Assistant, Geo, Platforms & Ecosystems, Devices & Services, Health, Retail, Payments, Next Billion Users, and more. We collaborate across Google, ensuring a coordinated approach when engaging with our most complex and strategic partners.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team leads and internal stakeholders globally to proactively develop and execute a comprehensive partnership strategy for Gemini and GenMedia models that is aligned with Google’s product objectives and priorities.
- Lead the team responsible for EMEA Google Research and Core partnerships, as well as initiatives advancing Privacy, Safety, Security, and Google Identity.
- Negotiate, complex agreements across a broad set of partners, driving consensus internally and escalating as needed to Google leadership.
- Partner with and provide expertise to VP and SVP cross-functional leadership at Google including: Global Business, Product, Engineering, Research, Finance, and Legal.
- Build and nurture a team of high-performing partnership professionals capable of embedding with Researchers and Product teams, and that works well in a cross-functional and cross-regional environment.
