About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The Commercial and Program Controls (CPC) organization is a collection of estimators, schedulers, commercial strategists and project controls managers who plan, design, and construct the most efficient data centers in the world.

The CPC Governance and Standards team’s mission is to establish and govern the canonical, end-to-end data foundation for Cost, Schedule, and Project Controls empowering the CPC organization and its partners with reliable, automated, and actionable intelligence for predictable, transparent, and efficient Data Center delivery. We serve as the canonical data authority for all projects and programs, enabling an Integrated Execution (IE) model for the construction of Google data centers globally.
Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. We're proud to be our engineers' engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Integrated Delivery roadmap and implementation in EMEA and APAC, driving the process and design of Integrated Delivery to create a unified global execution framework.
  • Develop and manage the Integrated Scope, Cost and Schedule Data Model, ensuring it provides a unified technical goal for prescriptive design.
  • Lead field enablement and vendor technical on-boarding through extensive Project Controls, Delivery Services, Vendor Training and Site Visits, acting as the primary for Integrated Execution advocacy.
  • Drive the design and implementation of scalable ETL processes and data pipelines to ingest, transform, and integrate fragmented commercial data from various sources into a centralized repository.
  • Oversee pilot execution and operational validation in EMEA, including the work packaging of scope in EMEA, and scaling these successes to APAC and then globally.
