Director, Customer Engineering, Google Cloud, Brazil

Minimum qualifications:

  • 20 years of experience in a pre-sales engineering capacity with experience working for a cloud company.
  • 10 years of experience selling cloud IT solutions to companies.
  • 10 years of experience in second line management, leading teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience leading complex transformations across enterprise portfolios and across multiple themes of transformation: cloud, infra, data, app development, AI, etc.
  • Experience in customer engagement, including experience growing the business/product, and working successfully in the Brazil market.
  • Experience in commercial sales in a global organization, with an excellent market reputation and actionable list of network contacts.
  • Experience leading in a hyperscale growth environment, and with marketing or sales support in developing product, solution messaging, narratives, and value propositions.
  • Deep industry expertise to support unique client portfolios, and formally engage in post-sales customer motions at C-suite level.

You listen and deliver what is most helpful for the customer. You assist fellow sales Googlers by problem-solving key technical issues for our customers. You liaise with the product marketing management and engineering teams to stay on top of industry trends and devise enhancements to Google Cloud products.

As the Director of Customer Engineering, you will contribute to the development of the overall account strategy or vision across a region or multiple business areas, ensuring it is prepared to enable business growth opportunities, and working cross-functionally with multiple lines of business to maximize business impact and open up opportunities with our largest and most strategic customers. You'll identify, own, and lead teams through complex, multi-dimensional pieces of work across several products, client areas, or markets, and anticipate rapidly evolving marketing technologies and trends, educating clients on these indicators. You will also oversee the integration of business strategies, spanning regions and multiple stakeholders, and advance inter-connectivity across business areas and processes in alignment with business needs and strategies. You'll engage in community contributions to improve and sustain our culture and operations - making Google a better place to work.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an organization of Customers Engineers to meet quarterly and annual business growth goals for Brazil by building strong relationships with key customer stakeholders, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty, leading and motivating the team to achieve ambitious goals and exceed customer expectations.
  • Recruit talent and coach the team with a focus on providing actionable, forthright feedback. Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive environment that encourages innovation and knowledge sharing, conduct regular performance reviews, identify development needs, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Empower team members to take ownership and make decisions, while providing guidance and support.
  • Create and drive innovative programs focused on achieving growth at scale. Work through and directly manage details in the business.
  • Work at an executive level with customers/prospects and participate directly in the key agreements and accounts within the region.
