Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
- 2 years of experience in taking products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, 0 to 1, etc) specifically in Trust and Safety domain or infrastructure and platform solutions.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including policy development, operations, and feature teams, within a T&S or adjacent organization.
- Experience driving cross-functional initiatives involving multiple product teams.
- Familiarity with ML and detection, setting policies and compliance, understanding of systems and platforms, or knowledge of APIs.
- Ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of management .
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to operate in a changing, constantly evolving, and collaborative environment.

Cross Product Safety (XPS) at YouTube enables YouTube innovation by allowing features to launch safely and responsibly – in a fast and easy way.
This team advanced ML teams employing state-of-the-art LLM and ML technologies to keep YT safe. This role will interface with these expert engineering teams to develop the TnS capabilities as needed for the new features.
In this role, you will have a front seat to innovation alongside high visibility with senior leadership in an effort to ensure all new features are designed to be safe for the YouTube community.
You will take the pivotal responsibility of developing a vision, strategy, and roadmap for platform-level product ideas to improve the new feature onboarding to Trust and Safety.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate the risk landscape of emerging YouTube features, identifying potential vulnerabilities and outlining impact assessments to ensure user safety from the outset.
- Design and implement comprehensive T&S plans for new features where required, ensuring all initiatives meet and exceed our stringent safety standards and policy requirements.
- Drive the successful execution of safety plans through seamless collaboration with Feature Teams, T&S Product and Engineering teams, Product Operations, technical program managers, and other key stakeholders.
- Develop the goal and strategy for platform-level product roadmaps that can improve the T&S efficiencies overall resulting in faster onboarding times for the Feature Teams.
