Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity or corporate advisory, or 2 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience working for a media agency.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, or a digital media environment.
  • 2 years of experience creating complex data sets, data modeling, and reports.
  • Experience contributing to large, complex and cross-functional projects from conception to implementation, including managing stakeholders, solving problems with strong decision-making abilities.
  • Experience solving problems in complex, fluid, and ambiguous business environments through solid data intuition, analysis and business acumen.
  • Ability to present clearly and compellingly to executives and communicate with the management team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The Business Strategy & Operations organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.

The Strategy and Operations Senior Associate will play a critical role enabling Google’s Global Agency and Partner team (APT) within Global Client and Agency Solutions (GCAS) GTM. You will work as business partner to GCAS APT leadership to support the development of strategy, Go-To-Market (GTM) approach, org design and operating model, and assess results to ensure effective and efficient performance. You will collaborate cross-functionally to develop and manage GTM strategic plans, operating model improvements, and resourcing plans, enabling the team to execute and innovate at speed.

In this role, you will manage full project components and processes with limited guidance. You will demonstrate a creative approach to improve solutions to defined problems via selection of better methods, tools and resources. You will navigate ambiguity by distilling insights and communicating them effectively. You will build strong working relationships and partner across teams to develop business solutions. You will demonstrate a strong working knowledge of market, product, organizational and cross-functional nuances, and will support our GCAS GTM to improve and sustain the culture and operations making Google a better place to work.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $118,000-$170,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Help develop APT’s business activation strategy to achieve business objectives, including annual and quarterly plans. Activate the strategy through execution and enablement to ensure key activities are delivered and targets achieved.
  • Help drive APT’s business cadence to deliver effective and efficient operations and results.
  • Identify, define and track metrics to ensure progress against business objectives. Help design reporting frameworks using core tools infrastructure and surface actionable insights to help drive the business.
  • Own development of hypotheses against an opportunity area or problem statement and test with quantitative or qualitative analysis, deliver data-driven insights and synthesize recommendations for executive decisions. 
  • Define the problem statement and project scope to deliver against key business objectives with limited guidance. Develop project plans including workstreams and resource requirements. Deliver aspects of projects in a high quality and timely manner.
