Optical Test Hardware Engineer, Raxium (English, Mandarin)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in display optics, CMOS image sensors, or optical metrology in a mass-production setting.
  • Experience with optical equipment and data analysis/SPC using tools like JMP or Python.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with advanced display technologies (OLED, MicroLED, AR/VR optics) and compound semiconductor (GaN/GaAs) testing.
  • Experience scripting in Python for test automation or data parsing.
  • Experience as a resident engineer or site lead at a major global Outsourced Assembly and Test (OSAT).
  • Understanding of LED or optoelectronic device operation, and strong grasp of color science and photometry.
  • Familiarity with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) integration or high-speed probe cards.

With start-up roots and a state-of-the-art compound semiconductor fab in Silicon Valley, Raxium is seeking to build upon its engineering team with an aim to disrupt next-generation display markets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead installation, qualification, and maintenance of optical metrology systems on the testers at the Contract Manufacturer (CM) site.
  • Own the health and calibration of all optical test setups, executing Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (R&R ) studies to validate performance before production release.
  • Serve as the first line of defense to diagnose and resolve hardware-related optical test issues, driving Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for production stops.
  • Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis to proactively monitor tester performance and correlate test results with manufacturing variables.
