About the job
Design and user experience (UX) are at the forefront of everything we do. The job of an Interaction Designer is to envision how people experience our products and bring that vision to life in a way that feels inspired, refined and even magical. In an Interaction Designer role, you’ll tackle complex tasks and transform them into intuitive, accessible and easy-to-use designs for billions of people around the world—from the first-time user to the sophisticated expert. Achieving this goal requires collaboration with teams of Designers, Researchers, Engineers and Product Managers throughout the design process—from creating user flows and wireframes to building user interface mockups and prototypes. At each stage, you will anticipate what our users need, advocate for them and ensure that the final product surprises and delights them.
The Health Devices team designs the system UI for Fitbit trackers as well as fitness experiences across other wearable form factors.

We bring together the best of Google technologies and AI, health behavior science, and user-centered design to help users organize the health and wellness data, get insight from it, and take action toward their health goals. We do this with a suite of apps, services, and health wearables. We aim to make consumer health more personal, proactive, and actionable.
Responsibilities
- Own the design for critical projects within the devices area.
- Translate complex health signals and data into clear, intuitive user experiences that drive engagement and earn user trust through transparency.
- Explore and design innovative, AI-focused solutions that leverage the transformative potential of AI to create hyper-personal and indispensable health guidance.
- Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, and User Experience Researcher (UXR) to define product strategy and deliver high-quality, scalable design across multiple platforms.
