Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Media Production, Business or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in media industry or OTT.
- 2 years of experience in product operations and project management in the media.
Preferred qualifications:
- 2 years of experience managing vendor/contractor extended staff in a global, scaled operational environment.
- Experience in video-on-demand, including XML schema, metadata troubleshooting, content delivery optimization, and Over-the-Top (OTT) technologies.
- Knowledge of operational excellence and delivering a high-quality 24/7 service with a strong understanding of urgency and prioritization.
- Ability to diagnose, resolve, escalate technical issues, and use SQL to analyze datasets, identify patterns, and extract actionable insights to drive operational improvements and data-driven solutions.
- Ability to lead and grow in a highly cross-functional team environment, collaborating with engineering and product stakeholders.

The TV and Media Solutions team accelerates YouTube’s TV and Originals businesses with stellar technology solutions, operations, and partner support, making data exchange seamless and scaling critical business processes. Our team of Partner Technology Managers, Partner Engineers, Solutions Consultants, and Program Managers manage operations and partner support for YouTubeTV and YouTube Premium.
As an Operations Manager, you will plan and execute programs to run service and content operations for YouTube, with a strong focus on video technology and video-on-demand delivery. You will utilize experience with video technology and video on demand delivery to build and refine a sustainable operations framework in support of continued growth and scale of the business. You will be highly proficient in establishing operational benchmarks, understanding video delivery and driving tangible process improvements.
The role is fluid and will involve problem-solving to optimize running processes for extended TV and Media operations workforce. You will plan, launch, and execute process redesign and resourcing strategies. You will work independently to define required people, processes, tools, and systems.
In this role, you will be highly organized with meticulous attention to detail, planning and tracking progress of key milestones. You will be comfortable managing the unpredictable and ambiguous nature of video streaming, anticipating roadblocks well in advance, communicating effectively in stressful situations, and escalating critical issues in a timely manner.

Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day digital operations for YouTube TV, Primetime Channels and media-related products. This includes overseeing ingestion, processing, and delivery of Video on Demand (VOD) content, ensuring high quality and adherence to technical specifications.
- Monitor the health of VOD delivery systems, proactively identifying and resolving any issues that could impact user experience.
- Leverage expertise in video technologies to design operational processes and apply tools and automation solutions for scale and growth.
- Define, manage, and review operational metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guide investments in operational processes and tools, and with YouTube's global vendor network to improve operational processes and tools.
