Program Manager, Data Centre Process Enablement

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • 5 years of experience in capacity/supply/demand planning, operations, construction, or supply chain/planning program management within a data center environment.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and scaling processes that drive measurable improvements.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with Engineering teams spanning hardware and software.
  • Experience managing engineering projects with heavy cross-team, cross-functional interactions/implications.

Global Program Controls provides Google with expertise that enables faster, better and cheaper delivery of data centers. We are focused on both project specific challenges and delivery of portfolio wide efficiency.
Project Services is our mechanism to make sure every project has the resources and expertise to deliver on-time, under budget, and with an acceptable risk profile. Responsible for the implementation of our standards, processes, tools, and data structures at a project level in a way that addresses regional specific challenges and local nuance.
Central Programs is how we extract efficiency across the portfolio through the right amount of standardization, consistent data structures, rationalized processes, and tools that help us automate.

Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally to identify and document all Data Centre Process Enablement (DCDE) processes into a curated project manual.
  • Work across the Tooling team in order to ensure all optimized processes are implemented within the enterprise tooling framework.
  • Identify opportunities for optimization of processes within DCDE and the ones which cross into DCDE from partner teams.
  • Partner in the change management of large-scale process changes and system enablement opportunities.
  • Communicate up and across DCDE and Google Data Center (GDC) on process changes and implementation.
