Product Manager, YouTube Trust and Safety

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management.
  • 5 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., marketing, business operations, consulting).
  • 5 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership.
  • 5 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience fighting abuse/fraud or shipping features that are susceptible to abuse/fraud (identity, payments, ecommerce, etc.).
  • Experience launching products at scale and working across large cross-functional team.
  • Experience making clear decisions in ambiguous problem spaces.
  • Ability to communicate with partners and stakeholders across a wide range of roles and levels.
  • Passion for YouTube trust and safety.

Our team focuses on protecting YouTube from highly scaled abuse. To do that effectively, we need to understand adversarial incentives and behaviors so we can combat bad actors while preserving the product experience for legitimate users.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Identify the most important aspects of a problem and framing it well for a broad and varied audience of stakeholders.
  • Utilize both principled and pragmatic thinking to find balance in a space where there's almost never an obvious right answer.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams across Google and communicate effectively with clarity and precision.
  • Stay ahead of product/industry trends to help your team.
  • Stay ahead of emerging abuse trends and develop innovative solutions.
