Strategy and Operations Lead, Ads Customer Support

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or corporate advisory, or 4 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience working across organizations, regions, and stakeholder management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA.
  • 2 years of experience creating data sets, data modeling, and reporting.
  • Experience structuring and executing analyses to support strategy in a fast-paced evolving environment.
  • Experience with leadership in crisis and change management situations.
  • Knowledge of Service Operations, Customer Support Operations, and Internet/Online Media.
  • Excellent leadership, project management, problem solving/analysis, and written/verbal communication skills.

The gTech Strategy and Operations organization provides strategic business insights, ensures cross-functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps leadership identify and drive strategic programs and new initiatives. The team is focused on aligning company priorities with effective day-to-day operations and helps evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.

gTech provides technical knowledge across Google products to support global Sales and Partnerships teams. Within gTech Ads, Customer Support and Solutions takes a customer-centric and collaborative approach to provide technical, optimization, implementation, and customer support services to all types of advertisers, publishers, and sales teams.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Define, prioritize, structure, and execute strategic and operational initiatives which includes developing work plans, gathering, and synthesizing data, leading analyses, and developing and implementing recommendations.
  • Drive operating and optimizing resource allocation, measuring/reporting progress against key objectives and managing business updates/quarterly reviews. 
  • Deliver on initiatives that are foundational elements to the team achieving its learning and business objectives (e.g., process standardization and optimization, measurement strategy, talent strategy, etc.). 
  • Analyze business processes to identify potential issues and uncover/prioritize levers for improvement, and influence executive stakeholders to implement suggested improvements.
  • Work with executive leadership to define, structure, launch, and drive strategic and operational initiatives for gTech Ads teams.
