Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience selling security consulting services.
  • 10 years of experience in customer-facing roles with cloud native architecture and cybersecurity.
  • Experience in cybersecurity technical solutions including SIEM/SOAR (EDR, XDR), threat intelligence (threat detection, malware intelligence, attack surface management), or cloud security (CSPM, CWPP, CNAPP, identity/access management).
  • Experience with cloud identity/access management, network security, data security, regulatory compliance frameworks, creating security architectures, and engaging with/presenting to technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
  • Ability to communicate in German fluently to communicate in this customer-facing role.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certification in the Cloud or Security industry.
  • Experience in implementing security solutions for enterprises (e.g., SIEM/SOAR, threat detection and hunting, malware intelligence, cloud security posture management, or identity and access management systems).
  • Knowledge of product and solution market trends in the cybersecurity industry (e.g., ransomware, attack frameworks, zero trust, etc.).
  • Experience in any of these market sectors: Financial Services Industry, Manufacturing, Retail.
  • Ability to speak publicly and deliver technical presentations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.

As a Customer Engineer, you will partner with technical Sales teams as a Security and Compliance subject matter expert to differentiate Google Cloud to our customers. You will help prospective and existing customers and partners understand the power of Google Cloud, develop creative cloud solutions and architectures to solve their business challenges, engage in proofs of concepts, and troubleshoot any technical questions and roadblocks related to technical security and compliance. You will use your expertise and presentation skills to engage with customers to understand their business and technical requirements, and persuasively present practical and useful solutions on Google Cloud. You will partner with internal engineering stakeholders to improve products and build solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Work with all Google Cloud Security products to demonstrate and validate solution benefits in customer and partner environments.
  • Support Google Cloud Security opportunities and relationships, own technical aspects of solutions, deliver technical presentations, product and solution briefings, proofs-of-concepts and demos to customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver product messaging in an effort to highlight our solutions value proposition using techniques including presentations, product demonstrations, white papers, trial management, and response documents.
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events where applicable.
  • Work with Security Sales and Google Cloud teams to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand customer technical and compliance objections, and develop strategies to resolve technical blockers.
