- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience with partner/account management in the video, media, or entertainment industry focused on the gaming space.
- Experience in business development, partnerships, sales or management consulting.
- Experience in program management, working with external partners, vendors and creators.
- Experience working with executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working at a game publisher on content marketing initiatives, with creators/influencers, and maintaining business relationships.
- Experience with YouTube creation, strategy, and management.
- Experience managing partnerships.
- Understanding of user journeys between in-game experiences and video platforms.
- Ability to leverage data to drive strategic decisions and measure partnership effectiveness.
- Passionate about and actively involved in the gaming space.
About the job
The Gaming Publisher Team's mission is to make YouTube the most valuable destination for Game Publishers to reach players and build communities around their games globally.
In concert with this mission, as partnership managers, we understand Games Publishers' business needs, goals and milestones. Our team is proactive with Game Publishers to identify opportunities for new products, content and programs that can drive impact across key business objectives. This team executes Product and Content partnerships with Game Publishers to launch complex products to drive scaled adoption and usage of new features and products like YouTube Playables and YouTube Shopping.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and evolve external relationships with partners and across the ecosystem, and manage strategic partnerships with entities of all sizes.
- Negotiate and close content acquisition agreements and renewals to grow the catalog of games for YouTube Playables.
- Develop cross-product area strategic partner initiatives and execute go-to-market strategies to meet broader Google goals across rapidly changing industries.
- Ideate and drive complex agreements with potential partners and renewals/expansions for existing partners and build consensus with internal and external executives.
- Serve as the relationship manager for our existing agreements. Help realize and optimize value from these partnerships while building effective long-term relationships.
