Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in partner development and sales.
- Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
- Experience in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) or cloud IT infrastructure, or channel/partner management.
- Ability to communicate in Cantonese, Mandarin and English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.
- Ability to travel upto 30% of the time as required.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with the cloud partner ecosystem, including System Integrators (SIs), Distributors, Service Providers (SPs), Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), telecommunications and web, or other partners (i.e. web hosting companies) serving SMBs at scale.
- Experience developing growth initiatives, running tests, developing conclusions based on data, achieving partner business goals and using business reporting tools.
- Partner facing experience or sales experience, with strong communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple time-sensitive projects, with excellent strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate analysis into actionable plans and outstanding organizational, project management, and execution skills.
About the job
As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you'll open doors with potential partners, lead exploratory discussions and evaluate/develop business opportunities. You will lead cross-functional teams, provide thought leadership and serve as a mentor to managers and associates. You are comfortable escalating and presenting business development strategies and key issues to senior management. You'll work closely with Google Product, Engineering, Legal and Sales teams on new product initiatives and key strategic relationships that support our online advertising business.
As a Partner Manager, you will be responsible for driving Google Workspace, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AI and Speciality Sales business to Small and Medium-Sized Businesses (SMBs) across GCR [China, Taiwan and Hong Kong]. This will involve close collaboration with our Sales teams and leveraging our extensive partner network.

Responsibilities
- Work with key SMB-focused partners to grow their Google Cloud business through marketing campaigns, training, and enablement.
- Gain an in-depth understanding of partner growth drivers and identify innovative solutions to expand business across various Google Cloud partner categories.
- Manage the partner ecosystem and collaborate with the Sales team to develop and execute growth initiatives.
