Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 13 years of experience in marketing, working across one or more marketing fields (i.e. growth, product marketing, brand marketing, social).
  • 5 years of experience with people management.
  • Experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced degree in Marketing or a related field.
  • 15 years of experience with brand and product marketing, consumer products, or brand management, with brands and at companies with global scale.
  • Experience developing global strategy and delivering impactful communication and campaigns internationally.
  • Experience developing and executing global integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Experience using data to inform strategy and to develop go-to-market approaches that drive business outcomes.
  • Ability to execute the details to bring ideas to life.

About the job

The Mastery team develops and delivers product and skills training to Google sales and services teams, as well as external client and agency partners. The team uses best practices and Google’s business priorities to build effective learning experiences for key audiences. The team is made up of passionate learning professionals, sales and marketing leaders, and former consultants and analysts who launch and iterate learning programs while balancing key pillars of knowledge and disciplined practice to help audiences thrive.

In this role, you will lead the Mastery Marketing team. As the leader of the Mastery marketing team you’ll lead strategic marketing plans to inspire and motivate personal and professional growth across audiences.

You will support the learner and senior stakeholder communications and strategy, overseeing a team of marketing managers and engaging directly with business partners. You'll manage numerous different projects and programs, all while keeping the learner experience top of mind and navigating working with Google's senior leaders.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $202,000-$287,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of marketing and communications managers in the learning and development team (Mastery) in the Global Business Organization.
  • Own high visibility Mastery Marketing initiatives by leading the marketing strategy, stakeholder engagement, and activation.
  • Partner with People Operations to establish a Growth Narrative for GBO and ensure Mastery content is surfaced on the GBO Growth Hub, GBO live and other GBO channels.
  • Oversee core support for the Google Sales framework and Mastery’s skills based learning culture while developing and owning the change management narratives with GBO learners.
  • Develop, execute, and manage the stakeholder and learner communications strategy complementing marketing plans, and develop audience research to inform branding, activation strategy, measurement frameworks, and learning.
