Content Partner Engineer, YouTube

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
  • Experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
  • Experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
  • Experience with Internet video technologies (e.g., Digital Rights Management (DRM) solutions, video or audio codecs, live streaming, 360/VR, etc.)
  • Familiarity with the Indian internet and media ecosystems.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal business communication skills.

About the job

As a Content Partner Engineer, you will be a technologist working in a team that manages YouTube's largest partnerships, optimizing implementations, managing new business opportunities, and seeking innovative solutions aiming to build excellent, successful, long-term partnerships. YouTube's Technology Services is a global organization dedicated to developing and managing partnerships with the biggest Media Companies working closely with the YouTube product, engineering, strategy and content teams to address our partners most pressing and complex technology issues.

In this role, you will lead projects and cross-functional efforts (e.g., product, engineering, business development, operations, marketing, etc.) enhance YouTube’s strategic partnerships with the traditional partners and the most successful new media partners that have grown businesses exclusively on YouTube. You will manage technical engagements with some of the biggest media companies and be responsible for the ongoing success and satisfaction of a portfolio of partners. You will also be instrumental in improving existing operations, commercializing new solutions, bridging product gaps, automating partner operations, and taking new initiatives from conception to deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, drive and optimize the business flow from existing and new business opportunities by leveraging YouTube technologies with our strategic partners.
  • Perform implementation reviews, advocate new product features, and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of our partner’s technical issues.
  • Improve product feature offerings by providing partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Engineering.
  • Guarantee the technical aspects of a partner’s integration (both new and ongoing) by providing necessary documentation and technical guidance.
  • Manage and support partners and stakeholders in India.
