Staff UX Engineer, Cloud Applied AI

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in a technical, UX, or design setting, or related experience.
  • Experience designing Business to Business to Customer (B2B2C) products in a 0 to 1 manner across a variety of industries.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams of Designers, Researchers, Engineers, and Product Managers throughout the design process; creating user flows and wireframes to building user interface mockups and prototypes.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ability to lead workshops for a array of communities towards co-design of products.
  • Ability to take prototypes all the way to production.
  • Excellent Prompt engineering and AI Safety skills that allow you to launch stable experiments/features that utilize the best of our models in new and exciting ways.

As a UX Engineer, you'll work as part of a UX team in a challenging, fast-paced environment. You’ll demonstrate your creativity, analytical skills, and knowledge of user facing technologies to create prototypes that identify the best product experiences, launch innovative features, build tools that accelerate UX teams, bridge between design and engineering discussions, and enable efficient, high quality execution.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $178,000-$265,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of key aspects of AI web applications, ensuring its stability, performance, and scalability. This includes front-end refinements, back-end development, API integrations, and data architecture.
  • Partner with our product managers to conceptualize, prototype, and implement new AI features.
  • Utilize your expertise in Typescript to develop front-end features in a multitude of frameworks, deploy and manage the application on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Design, refine, and implement effective prompts for Google's Gemini models to ensure relevant, coherent, and engaging user interactions within the tool.
  • Devise and implement intuitive, attractive user interfaces. B in charge of the user experience, making strategic design choices so that AI features are easy and enjoyable to use.
