Minimum qualifications:
- Enrolled in a 2-year Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical area for the 2025/2026 academic year.
- Admitted in the curriculum of a CFA (centre formation d'apprentis) and university or engineering school.
- Ability to communicate in English and French fluently to work with English and French speaking colleagues/clients.
Preferred qualifications:
- Effective communication and organizational skills, proactive, self-motivated, positive attitude, and demonstrated problem solving capabilities. Ability to deliver technical presentations demonstrating good presentation skills.
- Willingness to navigate ambiguous tasks, find suitable solutions and seek help/advice where appropriate.
- Enthusiasm and passion for new technologies, demonstrated through personal projects and commitment to learning new skills.
- Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the cloud/data engineering technology space.
About the job
As a Customer Engineer Apprentice, you’ll join Google Cloud technical presales teams. You will assist Field Sales Representatives with problem-solving key technical issues for customers and assess new Cloud business (e.g., understand customers’ business and technical needs, propose and present Google Cloud solutions, build demos or proof of concepts based on Google Cloud Platform, etc.).This 2-year apprenticeship program is intended for candidates studying towards a Master’s degree of an engineering school or university in Infrastructure Modernization, Application Modernization, Computer Science, Data science, AI/ML, Digital transformation, that offers an apprenticeship program of a CFA (Centre de Formation d'Apprentis).
Responsibilities
- Undertake training and follow mentoring as specified.
- Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, identify key customer technical objections, and develop a strategy to resolve technical blockers.
- Work with customers to demonstrate and prototype Google Cloud product integrations in customer/partner environments.
- Recommend migration strategies, enterprise architectures, migration tools, and cloud infrastructure required to implement a complete solution using best practices on Google Cloud.
