Team Lead, Acquisitions, APAC New Business Development

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or sales within the media, entertainment, or tech industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in an external-facing customer interaction role with customer support, sales, or relationship development.
  • Ability to interface with partners and to solve critical problems through analysis. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, fluid and collaborative environment.
  • Ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally and externally.
  • Ability to think strategically about issues and then to convert insights into actions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation planning and time management skills, with attention to detail. Experience with spreadsheet analysis, public presentations and data management.

About the job

As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you'll open doors with potential partners, lead exploratory discussions and evaluate/develop business opportunities. You will lead cross-functional teams, provide thought leadership and serve as a mentor to managers and associates. You are comfortable escalating and presenting business development strategies and key issues to senior management. You'll work closely with Google Product, Engineering, Legal and Sales teams on new product initiatives and key strategic relationships that support our online advertising business.

Responsibilities

  • The Acquisitions team is the business development arm to YouTube's Biz Org, focused on delivering YouTube's strategic business priorities
  • Manage a team across Asia Pacific markets, focused on discovery and growth of our priorities across creators, commerce, companies and responsibility entities.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders, GTM and cross-functional partners to set strategy, as well as, develop and implement ways to advance relationships, grow distribution and drive growth, aligned to OKR's.
  • Project manage initiatives and execution via workshops, events and other initiatives.
  • Measure and analyse overall performance and outcomes, operational workflows and process improvements.
