Developer Relations Engineer, Android, Jetpack Compose

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in Android app development.
  • 1 year of experience in Kotlin programming language.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 4 years of experience in building Android applications.
  • Experience contributing to an open source project.
  • Experience debugging performance issues in Jetpack Compose.
  • Experience rolling out new technology to improve developer productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with various developer community, and contribute to a growing ecosystem.
  • Work with developers to drive adoption of Jetpack Compose.
  • Provide engineering direction and assistance to design, build, launch, and improve developer products.
  • Develop expertise in Jetpack Compose Application Programming Interface (APIs) and tools, and identify opportunities for Google and developers to create better products for users.
  • Work with external developers, generate developer insights, create guidance, write example code, author blog posts, design APIs, propose product changes, influence engineering plans, discover developer stories, and inspire developers.
