Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in a customer-facing role in the enterprise technology space.
- 8 years of experience as a technical sales engineer in a cloud computing environment, with a focus on NetApp data storage and management solutions, or equivalent experience in a customer-facing role.
- 3 years of experience in cloud computing (infrastructure, storage, platforms and data), as well as cloud market, competitive dynamics, and customer buying behaviour.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with hybrid cloud deployments and on-premises-to-cloud migration deployments, particularly involving NetApp systems.
- Experience developing innovative solutions to address customer requirements, sales acceleration tools using AI.
- Experience with storage, preferably NetApp, solutions within key verticals like Electronic Design Automation (EDA), Energy, Gaming, Healthcare, Software and Internet and Media & Entertainment, and for Data Management and AI applications in Google Cloud for in-Cloud and on-premises users.
- Deep understanding of NetApp technology, specifically ONTAP, and its integration with Google Cloud (GCNV).
- Deep expertise with GCNV offering as a technical sales engineer or a customer-facing role.
About the job
As a Storage Specialist, you will be responsible for incubating, growing and creating an efficient, leveraged Go-To-Market (GTM) model for Google Cloud Storage business, beginning with Google Cloud's NetApp Volumes (GCNV) offering. You will require deep collaboration with Product Management, Engineering, Storage Sales Specialists, Google Cloud, NetApp, partner sales, and GTM teams to deliver business goals, develop innovative sales acceleration and customer adoption tools and foster growth through direct, attached, and cross-selling strategies within new and existing customer accounts. You'll develop differentiated and customer-value-add solutions in partnership with other Google Cloud teams to integrate storage offerings, starting with GCNV, for key verticals like Banking and Insurance, Automotive, Electronic Design Automation (EDA), Energy, Gaming, Healthcare, Software and Internet and Media and Entertainment, and for Data Management and AI applications in Google Cloud for in-Cloud and on-premises users.

Responsibilities
- Manage the technical aspects of the customer relationship, including product briefings, proof-of-concepts, and coordinating technical resources (product management, engineering) to answer customer questions and solve problems related to GCNV.
- Identify and address technical obstacles customers face, developing solutions and strategies to overcome them, specifically around data storage, management, and performance using GCNV.
- Provide technical guidance and ensure successful implementation of Google Cloud solutions, particularly GCNV, across the complete product portfolio.
- Develop industry specific blueprints to support repeatability and onboarding of new workloads/flows following Google Cloud best practices, with a focus on GCNV integration and optimization.
- Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as required.
