Customer Engineer, User Protection Services, Google Cloud (English, Portuguese)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience with cloud native architecture and cybersecurity in a customer-facing or support role.
  • Experience with Cloud Identity and Access Management, network security, data security, regulatory compliance frameworks, or creating security architectures.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Portuguese fluently in order to present to technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in implementing enterprise security solutions such as threat detection and hunting, malware intelligence, cloud security posture management, or identity and access management systems.
  • Experience in working with startup ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of broad product and solution of market trends in the cybersecurity industry (e.g., ransomware, attack frameworks, zero trust, etc.).
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish fluently to support client relationship management in this region and communicate with internal stakeholders.

In this role, you will help us grow cybersecurity business by building and expanding relationships with new and existing customers. You will be a trusted advisor to customers and an advocate for our security solutions, providing support to C-Level, Security Leaders, Cloud Security Architects, and Security Analysts using both technical and business skill sets to lead projects forward. You will accompany customers in discovering the technology or solution and consult around the best way to secure and ensure compliance. You will optimize for results when in production, leading with empathy, while identifying ways to multiply the impact of the team as a whole.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers.
  • Contribute to programs in areas of security, privacy, and compliance with internal teams (e.g., Marketing, Product, Legal, and Policy). Motivate enablement internally to create customer best practices.
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as required, acting as a public advocate for Google Cloud.
  • Maintain technical knowledge and work with Google Cloud Security products to demonstrate and validate solution benefits in customer and partner environments. Maintain technical intelligence.
  • Support Google Cloud Security opportunities and relationships by being responsible for technical aspects of solutions, including delivering compelling technical presentations, product and solution briefings, proofs-of-concepts, and demos to customers, partners, and Google Cloud Platform stakeholders.
