Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in a technical project management or a customer-facing role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with both technical and business stakeholders and users.
  • Knowledge of global customer service operations, support platforms, the online advertising industry, and Google Ads.
  • Ability to influence others, fostering and maintaining key relationships over time.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and work in a fluid environment.
  • Passion for improving customer experience.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.

About the job

The Go-to-Market (GTM) Operations is a global team that serves as the strategy, operations, and product commercialization partner to GBO. The team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business delivers growth and operates effectively. GTM’s Global Business Applied AI team focuses on building business tools to ensure workflows are technology-first, leveraging the best of AI across Sales and Services. Team members are investigative and tactical change agents who have a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

As a Global Product Lead, you will shape the tactical direction and drive successful outcomes for complex projects or portfolios. You will operate separately in cross-functional environments, partnering closely with gTech's Support, Professional Services, Product Management, and Engineering teams.

You will simplify Ads products and build the productivity tool ecosystem for gTech Ads users. You will elevate the customer experience, advocating for product improvements and features, backed by data. Your work will empower gTech teams to deliver exceptional customer support.

You will build and nurture essential relationships across gTech, Sales, Finance, PM, Engineering, and UX. Directly collaborating with PM, Engineering, UX, and Ads Services, you will plan and execute roadmaps, set goals, coordinate resources, and provide leadership with minimal senior direction. The cross-functional nature of this position demands strong relationship-building to deliver transformational tooling.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $168,000-$249,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Own outcomes for multiple internal projects by planning and executing the project roadmap, establishing goals, coordinating resources, and providing leadership in line with long-term functional objectives.
  • Develop solutions for significant and unique problems that are ambiguous or lack clear precedent, employing pattern and systems-thinking in solution development.
  • Influence stakeholders at the manager level to align on outcomes in Google's best interest, arbitrating in cases of disagreement and driving change management initiatives across teams.
  • Act as the product lead for the business tools ecosystem, lead product strategy, articulate prioritized business needs to influence the technical roadmap, and oversee the integration of cross-functional project timelines.
  • Serve as a domain expert, utilizing broad and deep knowledge to translate business needs into solutions and developing colleagues capabilities through mentorship.
