Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience working in vendor operations or social media vendor/agency management.
  • 7 years of experience using analytics or applying project management tools to address business issues.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Project Management certifications such as PMP, Six Sigma, etc.
  • Experience in real-time social monitoring/alerting, analytics and crisis response.
  • Experience in risk and change management.
  • Experience in cost, quality, and relationship management. Excellent investigative and structured problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build stakeholder relationships in an ambiguous and fluid environment.

About the job

As a Vendor Manager for Social Intelligence Operations, you will help realize the next level of performance for YouTube Vertical Operations. You will manage critical workflows operated by vendors within the region and lead other critical projects and initiatives relevant to the business function. You will have end-to-end accountability of vendor performance for which includes, but not limited to overseeing staffing, SLA adherence, quality performance and other operations metrics. You will be establishing the operation at one or more sites and partner with stakeholders, cross functional teams and suppliers to make it a success. This role includes overall management responsibility for provisioning and enabling the Vendors to operate as outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW). You will also manage sections of the long-term global operational strategy and support model and continuous improvements of business processes.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $126,000-$185,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the overall regional workflow strategy. Identify and mitigate risk from a delivery standpoint and ensure compliance with all internal policies and procedures. Oversee the monitoring, alerting, and reporting of escalations in priority business areas.
  • Manage overall vendor performance in the region, driving overall vendor operations and strategies. Develop and maintain reports that communicate insights to executives.
  • Translate social data into actionable or influence product and policy roadmaps. Manage escalations in line with the established policies and procedures.
  • Lead regular business reviews and vendor relationship management activities, and partner with cross-functional teams locally and globally to drive continuous vertical improvements and efficiencies at scale.
  • Define overall operations strategy, work closely with various internal groups to understand business requirements, implement new processes and contribute to ongoing process improvements.
