Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
- Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
- Experience managing agreements or partnerships.
Preferred qualifications:
- Knowledge of content acquisition and distribution strategies.
- Ability to interpret legal documents, negotiate contracts, and work with attorneys.
- Ability to operate with flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving and collaborative environment, and work cross-functionally with all levels of management.
- Excellent investigative, communication, and presentation skills.
About the job
As Strategic Partner Development Manager, you are responsible for developing and managing partnerships with SMB content partners to help the Search Partnerships team achieve its vision of powering inspirational experiences across Google. You will manage existing partnerships, drive new opportunities, discuss agreements, resolve business issues, set up business processes, as needed.The Search Partnerships team inspires action by connecting people with life-enhancing experiences. We drive growth by building delightful experiences that guide users from initial inspiration to decisive actions in Travel and Local Search journeys. We collaborate across Search, deepen engagement in existing verticals, and create innovative cross-vertical experiences.The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.
Responsibilities
- Maintain strong direct relationships with strategic partners.
- Maintain a strong relationship with cross-functional stakeholders, including Product, Engineering, Finance, BD, Legal, gTech, and Sales.
- Contribute to ecosystem research and analysis to support product and GTM strategy.
- Maintain deep understanding of the product roadmap and analyze user and partner metrics to identify trends.
- Represent in external events (e.g. conferences).
