Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience leading operations or communications in the
    political space.
  • 5 years of experience in people management, growing, and developing teams.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in a people manager role, with a track record of developing and growing high-performing team members.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional partners to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes in a distributed, and global setting.
  • Excellent political judgment and enthusiasm skills to work across political lines.

About the job

As the Global Civics Partnerships Lead, you will drive YouTube's partnership efforts to demonstrate the platform's value as a destination for civic engagement and political discourse.

From crafting initiatives that inspire and engage government official entities to use YouTube to connect with their constituents, to helping political creators and publishers understand how the platform works, you are at the forefront of how YouTube supports a thriving political ecosystem across a diversity of viewpoints, formats and types of creators.

You will act as a team lead, managing a US based team of Strategic Partner Managers and collaborating with team members around the world to develop and execute strategy.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $211,000-$300,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of high-performing Strategic Partner Managers through coaching and development, provide project oversight and cultivate external partner relationships.
  • Lead and execute the strategy for the global Civics vertical by collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and execute a goal, tactics and measurable outcomes.
  • Oversee daily operations, including sensitive and high-stakes engagements, with a focus on synthesizing multiple viewpoints, driving towards consensus across stakeholders, and manage internal and external communications.
  • Develop and execute initiatives to foster YouTube adoption and understand civic entities, with a focus on optimizing for impact, measure success and constantly improve internal processes, communication levers, and track systems.
