Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience managing UX related programs.
  • 10 years of experience managing operational efforts across organizations.
  • 5 years of experience managing and developing a team.
  • Experience with UX disciplines and user-centered development tools/methodologies.
  • Experience analyzing data and developing solutions and strategies.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing programs within a Design or UX organization.
  • Experience improving the velocity/productivity of teams, products, and systems.
  • Experience working with Language Learning Models (LLM).
  • Experience in Content Design or working with Content Design teams.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.

You will join our multi-disciplinary UX team, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management, to create industry-leading products based on user insights.

As a UX Program Manager, you will combine expert project management with a passion for user experience to improve the design of products used by billions. Your role is to plan projects, define milestones, assess risks, create actionable insights, and ensure deadlines are met. You will harmonize the work of various UX disciplines and cross-functional partners to drive team objectives and create innovative experiences. In Google Search, we're reimagining what it means to search for information – any way and anywhere. To do that, we need to solve complex engineering challenges and expand our infrastructure, while maintaining a universally accessible and useful experience that people around the world rely on. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $237,000-$329,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of UXers by providing leadership and support to cultivate their growth and development, while ensuring high-quality project outcomes.
  • Deliver strategic outcomes for multiple mission-critical programs of considerable scope, while driving collaborative relationships with appropriate stakeholders across program work.
  • Drive program scoping and prioritization, managing strategic project resourcing, and allocation.
  • Oversee critical efforts for cross-organizational alignment on UX and partner team structure, strategic priorities, UX wide processes, and communications.
  • Establish key UX metrics that drive a culture of user-centered development across a wide range of program work.
